Rose de France is defined by it’s light shade of purple, like lilac/lavender.
Lilac Amethyst’s color is a result from the substitution of irradiation of trivalent iron for silicon.
Natural Amethyst is reddish violet and blue violet, but when heated, it turns yellow-orange, yellow-brown or dark brownish and may resemble citrine.
Amethyst can also fade in tone if overexposed to light sources and can be artificially darkened with adequate irradiation.
