Gypsum is a soft sulfate mineral composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate.
Gypsum is actually widely mined and used as fertilizer and is main part in the different forms of plaster, drywall, blackboards and sidewalk chalk.
Gypsum is also moderately water-soluble but is less soluble in higher temperatures.
There are a few varieties of gypsum, such as Selenite, Satin Spar and Desert Rose Gypsum.
