Flower Rhyolite, also known as Green Flower Jasper or Sakura Jasper, is not actually a “true jasper”.
Jasper is an aggregate of micro granular quartz and/or chalcedony. An opaque rock of any color stemming from the mineral content of the original sediments or ash.
Flower Rhyolite is a combination of Bird’s Eye Rhyolite and Green Jasper. The Rhyolite crystalizes into pink to dark red rosettes and scattered throughout the Green Jasper matrix.
