Jasper is an aggregate of micro granular quartz and/or chalcedony. An opaque rock of any color stemming from the mineral content of the original sediments or ash.
Brecciated Jasper is simply a generic name for any kind of jasper with lots of spots as opposed to a solid color or multi-colored layers.
