Blue Kyanite is typically a blue aluminosilicate mineral found in aluminum-rich metamorphic pegmatites and sedimentary rock. Kyanite presence in metamorphic rocks generally indicates metamorphism deep in the earth’s crust.
Kyanite is also known as disthene or cyanite. Normally forms in sprays of bladed crystals, and the euhedral, or well-shaped, crystals are very uncommon.
